Owned a vineyard adjoining the royal palace gardens. King Ahab and his queen, Jezebel, tried every means, both fair and foul, to induce Naboth to sell them his plot of land, as they wished to enlarge the royal parks. But Naboth would not part with it. A false accusation was brought against him: he was condemned and stoned to death
(1 Kings 21:1-16). Jesus, too was falsely accused and sentenced to death.
