Dr. Enrico Scerri M.D. 1776 - 1841 -
was a Physician who graduated in Salerno University. He was one of the leaders of the maltese, representing his village Kirkop, when they rose against the French in 1798. He was awarded a gold medal by Alexander Ball on the 9th Feb. 1801. He held the post of Captain of Ports as well as that of Commissioner of Health.
His son the Hon. Michel'Angelo Scerri 1802 - 1870 was elected as a member to the First Council of Government in 1849
