Born in Xemxija, St. Paul's Bay, Malta on October 8th 1933. His early education was obtained at the Government Primary School in Hamrun, where his family lived during the Second World War. He thence followed his Secondary school studies at the Lyceum. From here he proceeded to enter the Royal University of Malta where he obtained his B.Pharm in 1956 and eventually graduated as an M.D. in 1959.

He was a self-thaught fish taxidermist and many of his fish preserved specimens are exibited at the San Lucjan Tower Marine Research Centre in Marsacala. He has to his credit many articles published in Medical journals both local and international. His published books include 'An Atlas of Mediterranean Fish', 'Hazardous Mediterranean Fish' and the collection of satirical Maltese poems 'Mill- Garigori Ta' Mohhi'.

As a young doctor he served at Wembley (England U.K.) and West Middlesex Hospital (England U.K.) doing his pre-registration years followed by registrar in geriatric Medicine. This was followed by an appointment of registrar in General Medicine at Gulson Hospital (England U.K.) within the Coventry & Warwickshire Hospital Group. In 1966 he returned to his native St. Paul's Bay serving as a general practitioner and lived there for the rest of his life. He passed away peacefully at home on July 21st 1996 with his wife Beatrix and his four children Stanley, Pierre, Marie Louise & Antoine by his side.

Before he passed away, he was gathering more of his poems to write the second book in the Garigori series. The Book was never published but Antoine gathered some of the poems online, Garigori 2
